At only a stone’s throw of the E313 (Antwerp-Lummen), in the middle of the green, lies this beautiful accommodation, built by Altez (Hippico-Geerkens). The location is perfect for hacking in the nature reserve of Merode. The complex was built in 2011-2012 and offers everything you need to train, keep and breed horses. It includes an indoor arena, an outdoor arena, 45 boxes, an appartement, accommodation for grooms and meadows.
You enter the property along a country road that gives onto the spacious parking at the entrance of the main building. The main building has a very bright indoor arena of approximately 25 x 50m with geopad floor and LED lightning. The indoor arena also has ha sprinkler system built into the roof. There are two separate corridors with boxes: the right corridor has 16 boxes with windows that have a direct view on the indoor arena. There is a solarium and washing place.
The left corridor has 29 boxes, 17 of tem have an outside window. This corridor also has a solarium, a washing place and access to the indoor arena.
Living accommodation: on the first floor of the main building there is a spacious apartment (250m2) with three large bedrooms, storage room, toilet, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with view over the indoor arena at one side and the meadows on the other side. There is also a large terrace of 60m2.
On the ground floor there is a sanitary block, an office (currently used as a grooms room); a studio with bathroom (sink, shower, toilet), a cafetaria room with bar and professional kitchen, a garage for two cars and two large storage rooms. Next to the main building there is a storage place of approximately 500m2 and is perfect of the storage of hay or straw. Behind this warehouse is a drained outdoor arena (30x75m) with white sand and wooden fences. Lightening and a sprinkler system are present.
Along the outdoor arena and behind the main building there is a covered lunging arena (geopad floor) and an oval walker for 8 horses. There is also a large grass arena next to the main building.
